- The price is $1.00 per month, usually paid annually in advance. We accept most major credit cards, as well as PayPal®.
- I see that my email address is sold by Emailme.com but operated by Windows Live™ Hotmail®. Can I transfer my address to another provider?
- No. The email address is only provided in combination with an email service provider that we choose. It is possible that in the future we might allow e-mail forwarding or use with other e-mail services. We will notify all our customers in advance should such facilities become available.
- Can I use my email address with a desktop mail client such as Outlook or Thunderbird?
- Microsoft provides the Microsoft
Office Outlook Connector that allows you to access your email via Outlook. There are a number of third party applications that provide
downloaders or proxies for Windows Live™ Hotmail®, for example FreePOPs or
GetLive.
Alternatively, Microsoft are currently offering a new, standalone, desktop application for accessing Windows Live™ Hotmail® accounts as part of their Windows Live™ Desktop suite.
Mac users have two options: if you have Microsoft Office you can use Entourage, which supports Windows Live™ Hotmail® directly, or you can use Mail.app with the HTTPMail plugin. - Can I forward my email address to another address?
- Windows Live™ Hotmail® allows you to forward your email address to any other @hotmail.com or @live.com address, or any other email address provided by Emailme.com. However it is not currently possible to forward email to an address outside the Windows Live™ Hotmail® system. If you require this, you should consider using one of the solutions mentioned above to retrieve email from the Windows Live™ Hotmail® system and deliver it to another mailbox.
- Is my credit card automatically debited on the anniversary of my signing up?
- At the moment it is not possible to automatically renew your email address, but we hope to have this available very shortly. We will send you several regular reminders ahead of the expiry of your email address, so we are confident that it will not be accidentally turned off!
- Can I register my email address for more than 12 months at a time?
- Yes. Simply click on the down arrow when applying and choose your registration period.
- What happens to all my emails if I cease to use your service?
- If your email address is cancelled, the account will lie dormant for a period of 12 months, during which all email sent to your address will be returned to sender. You should take copies of any email messages stored by the Windows Live™ Hotmail® service prior to the deletion of the account.
- What happens to 'my' email address if I cease to use your service?
- After the 12 month dormant period (see above), the address will be made available for re-registration.
- Why do I have more than one password?
-
When registering on this website you will be assigned a password which you use when
